World Cup Qualifier: Mexico 2-0 Costa Rica
Carlos Salcido celebrates his 10th goal for Mexico’s senior team. Scored at minute 43’, Salcido’s goal gave Mexico the lead and allowed the team to go into halftime with less pressure. Jesús Zavala scored El Tri’s second goal at the minute 52’ mark.
Mexico now leads its group with 9 points. They play Costa Rica again on Tuesday at Estadio Azteca.
